Spring into Summer in Vermont

While general real estate in our area is remaining sluggish but still moving a bit at a time, The Hermitage Club has had a positive impact on bringing buyers for properties both on Haystack Mountain AND in close proximity to the mountain and golf course. If you're like me and LOVE SUMMER IN VT, I'm hopeful for a great one! It has been a bit wet and cold this spring but I've already enjoyed some mountain biking, road biking, paddle boarding, swimming and running. Don't tell too many people, but I played 18 holes of golf last week. I'm not a golfer, but played in a fund raiser for The Mountain School At Winhall (MSW) with about 40 other people. I thought I placed first by only losing 2 balls, turning in a 92 and getting back to the clubhouse first! I was told first in was not the way the trophy was won. I also ran an 11 mile trail run to raise awareness and funds for The Collaborative, Supporting Substance Free Youth in our county. Running is not really my thing either but it was a fun 2 hours for a good cause and on a beautiful trail. The West River Trail from South Londonderry to Jamaica State Park. I think next year I might go from the starting line to the finish line by floating on a tube or in my kayak through the rapids. I know that will be much more relaxing and easier! There is SO much to do during SUMMER IN SOUTHERN VERMONT! I've not been water skiing yet (my favorite sport), we did just start our volleyball league, and I am looking forward to more lake time! Come out and play!!!!
